The top club from the Ukrainian championship will be entitled to play directly in the group round of the UCL (and not in the 4th round of qualification - Q4), if the TH place reserved for the titleholder - the 2022/23 UCL winner - is not used.
The semi-finalists Real Madrid and Manchester City already have a ticket to the 2023/24 Champions League group thanks to being in the top 4 in their respective national championships.
The only question is Inter, who are sitting in third place in Serie A. The Ukrainian clubs need to ensure that the Nerazzurri do not drop below the top 4 in the Italian league. Then the TH place will remain vacant and will be passed to Ukraine as the 12th country in the rankings, the first reserve among those who do not have a direct ticket to the Champions League group.
The situation in Serie A for the Nerazzurri (in the context of the fight for the top 4) is still very promising: Napoli (83), Juventus (69), Inter (66), Lazio (65), AC Milan (61), Roma (59) and Atalanta (58).
