Dmytro Povorozniuk, host of the Trendets project and Veres midfielder, commented on the video message from Barcelona players Alex Balde and Sergi Roberto to Russian fans after their victory in La Liga.
"I'm sure Balde and Roberto won't be able to show where Ukraine is on a map, they are not interested in the war in Europe. They don't care that Russia has long been a terrorist country. Such athletes are intellectual imbeciles who are ready to say anything and there is nothing you can do about it. There are no illusions here.
But the Barcelona club? A club with hundreds of managers, a huge commercial and media department. A club that cares about its reputation and helps social projects. A club whose brand is known all over the world. How did you manage to coordinate this shoot?
One of Barcelona's slogans is "More than a club". It's about family values. And then there was a scandal that changed Barcelona's slogan to "Money is more than a club".
"Barcelona received a reputational slap in the face with one short video. Let me explain with my own example... in the confrontation between Real Madrid and Barcelona, I have always been on the side of Barcelona. Now I will not be able to support Barcelona, the club has disgraced itself in my eyes. And there are millions of people like me.
It's nice that Ukrainian clubs reacted quickly and supported Shakhtar's idea with a flash mob and massively hated Barcelona on social media - this is perhaps the first time in the history of Ukrainian football that such solidarity has been shown.
Of course, Barcelona will react. The club will not be able to ignore all the hate after this situation. Lewandowski has already condemned the club's position.
You can always apologise, but Barcelona has shown an average attitude to the war and Russia in the world. It's only business - I condemn it, but I cooperate if it brings money or other benefits. Shame on you," Povorozniuk wrote on his Instagram page.
