Former Ukrainian footballer Oleksandr Chyzhevskyi shared his impressions of the 28th round match of the Ukrainian Premier League between Zorya and Shakhtar with КОМАНДА1 and specified how many points would be enough to keep the team in the elite division.
- To be honest, I expected more from Luhansk.I don't think Zorya's performance was negatively affected by Sudakov's quick goal or Snurnitsyn's sending off at the start of the second half. Patrick van Leeuwen's men played below their level, in my opinion, due to the absence of legionnaire Guerrero, who has recently played a significant role in team formations. Of course, it's a pity that in this long-awaited match the advantage of one of the teams was so tangible.
- And after the defeat of Shakhtar's main pursuer Dnipro-1 by Vorskla, can we say that the intrigue in the fight for the league gold has disappeared?
- Yes, I am convinced that Shakhtar will not miss their chance. By the way, I recall that in a previous interview with your website, I said that the Pitmen would not have any problems conquering the top step of the podium, because they are more stable than their rivals and do not allow themselves to squander points in confrontations with clubs that are much lower in the standings. Although, when analysing the Dnipro-1 vs Vorskla match, it cannot be said that the Poltava team is far inferior to the Dnipro team in terms of training, so their victory is not a sensation. After all, Viktor Skrypnyk's wards still have a chance to get ahead of Oleksandriya in the fight for the European Cup zone. And it is the fault, first of all, of Vorskla's players that they lost a lot of "their" points at the start of the spring season, which are now not enough to swing for one of the prize places. As for the Dnipro team, it's not the first time they've lacked resilience. After opening the scoring, Oleksandr Kucher's men easily conceded...
- If, in your opinion, everything is clear with Shakhtar's championship, as well as with the losers - Lviv and Metalist, who will be forced to leave the UPL, then finally, who will be unlucky to avoid the transition matches with the teams that finish in 3rd and 4th place in the first league?
- I won't be original when I say that Rukh, Veres and Ingulets have the worst chances. I think that 32 points will be enough to stay in the elite.
