The legendary Dynamo Kyiv forward Igor Belanov told Josimar Football about life in Ukraine during the war.
- It is impossible to stay away. 99 percent of the news is about the war. I am in touch with our armed forces, I meet with them, I provide humanitarian assistance. I have been to Kherson, Irpen, Chernihiv. I am not depressed. I always say, "Do not expect us to surrender. We will not give up. I can allow myself tears, I can cry. Even when I'm watching a movie. But war has made me stronger. The invaders should not expect us to cry for them.
I do not talk to my former colleagues who are not Ukrainians, except Revaz Chelebadze. He has a heart of gold and he is a very nice guy. We talk a lot. He is a Georgian and he is at home in Batumi. The war has separated me from others. I do not even know who supports whom. And I don't like arguing, I can't stand arguing," said Belanov.
