Metalist General Director Valery Griga commented on rumors that the Kharkiv club may cease to exist in the case of relegation from the Ukrainian Premier League.
"In the case of relegation to the first league, and the club is considering all possible scenarios, the sports department will be tasked to create a team that will not only return to the UPL, but also be able to perform there decently.
Do not confuse the results of the first team in one particular season and the vitality of the brand, as Metalist football club. All the talk about the fact that our club will cease to exist is idle speculation. We look to the future with optimism," - said Griga in a comment to Metalist official website.
