Everton's Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko has yet to recover from injury in time for the last match of the season at club level.

Photo: gettyimages.comRecall that 24-year-old footballer got a muscle injury at one of the training sessions of his team before the match in the APL with Manchester City, which took place on May 14. As a result, the Ukrainian missed both the meeting with the Citizens and the Wolverhampton FC match.
Doctors estimate Mykolenko will be out for 3-4 weeks, but Everton head coach Sean Dyche has said he has a chance of playing in the last round against Bournemouth. However, the defender was not included in the squad for that game.
He appeared in 35 games for Everton last season, 31 of which he started in the starting line-up. The Ukrainian has no effective actions under his belt, and he has four yellow cards in his record.
Mykolenko is called up to the Ukraine national football team for the June matches of the Euro 2024 qualifying round with the national teams of Northern Macedonia (June 16) and Malta (June 19).
It should be added that Everton managed to keep their place in the AFL thanks to the victory over Bournemouth: the Liverpool side finished the league season in 17th place, only two points clear of the relegation zone.
