Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri shared his impressions after the 37th round of the Italian league match against AC Milan (0:1).
"It was an incredibly difficult season, we have to finish it with honour. I wouldn't wish anyone to have a year where points are taken away, then returned, then taken away again. People can talk about our failure, but we still scored 69 points despite what was happening. We should be proud of that.
With our performance on the pitch, we deserved to finish third, and we were also in the semi-finals of the Europa League and the Italian Cup. Football gives, football takes away, it's life. We will only get stronger. But some teams got into the Champions League only because we were taken away 10 points. Does everyone agree with this?" Football Italia quoted Allegri as saying.
It will be recalled that following the results of the 2022/23 Serie A campaign, Napoli, Inter, Lazio and Milan will take part in the Champions League next season.
