"Nottingham Forest have kicked their highest paid player Jesse Lingard out the door.
Last summer, Lingard decided to finally break up with Manchester United and, to the surprise of many, went to Nottingham Forest, rejecting the interest of West Ham.
However, this move did not pay off in sporting terms. This season, the 30-year-old Englishman played only 17 matches in the Premier League without scoring a single goal or providing a single assist.
And today, Forest officially announced that Lingard's contract, which expires at the end of the season, will not be extended. The same goes for Andre Ayew, Jack Colback, Jordan Smith and Lyle Taylor. Meanwhile, Keylor Navas, Dean Henderson and Renan Lodi are returning to their clubs after their loan periods end.
