Dinamo head coach Mircea Lucescu is on the shortlist of candidates for the post of coach at Fenerbahce. This was reported by the Turkish publication Hurriyet.
It is expected that Portugal's Jorge Jesus will leave the yellow canaries in the near future, after which the position of head coach will become vacant.
Fenerbahce have already made a list of three potential candidates for the coaching job. Italy's Vincenzo Montella, from Adana Demirspor, is listed as No. 1. He is unlikely to continue with his current club despite a successful season, and therefore Fenerbahçe will not find it as difficult to negotiate the move as it could have been.
The Turkish press names 59-year-old Abdullah Avci as the No. 2 candidate, who has been sitting idle since March this year after leaving Trabzonspor.
Mircea Lucescu is seen as candidate No 3. His arrival at Fenerbahce is currently regarded as unlikely but the Romanian is still on the table for Istanbul bosses.
