"Dynamo" with the starting whistle tried to transfer the game to the half of the field "Metalist 1925", but Kharkiv responded to this not only effective defense, but also a sharp counterattacking game. Already by the 10th minute two very sharp feeds to the penalty area of "Dynamo". However, there were moments in the opening stages of the game for Kyiv. First, Ramires intercepted the ball in the middle of the field, put Parris on the field, and he eventually went one on one with Mozil, but Metalist 1925`s goalkeeper found himself on the ball a moment earlier. And on 16 minutes of the match Bilo-Syni tried to score a great shot into the goalkeeper's box from Kabaev, but the last pass didn`t come through.
On 20 minutes, the scoreline was opened. As a result of another Dynamo attack Zhichikov knocked down Kabaev in the penalty area of Metalist 1925. Kabaev and the referee did not hesitate to call a "point". Ramires took a penalty and did it very confidently, sending the goalkeeper and the ball in different corners of the goal - 0:1.
After that, "Dynamo" played more relaxed, but "Metalist 1925" did not give freedom to opponents and, as before, tried to squeeze the maximum out of opportunities for counterattacks. So, in general, in this part of the match there was an equal fight on the field with the positional advantage of "Dynamo".
Everything changed in the 32nd minute of the game. In one of Kharkiv team's counterattacks Ostrovskiy jumped one on one with Bushchan and was brought down by Dyachuk. As expected, it resulted in a sending-off of the centre-back for Dynamo. And a dangerous free-kick: Buschan had to work hard to catch the ball after Vachiberadze's strike and the resulting rebound. However, five minutes later Kharkiv team realized their numerical advantage - it was Gabelok after a drop shot from 18 meters, and the ball flew into the bottom corner of the goal for "Dynamo" - 1:1. That was how the first half ended.
The beginning of the second half, despite unequal teams in favor of Metalist 1925, passed under the sign of Dynamo advantage. And on 58th minute of the match Kyiv team had a chance to score second goal - it was Andriyevskiy made sharp shot to the goalie`s level, but Voloshyn failed to block it. However, after five minutes, Kharkiv team created a scoring chance: they put on a spectacular combination, the spot-kick from 12 meters was made by Ostrovskyy, but the ball flew above the goal.
Closer to the 65th minute the game had levelled. "Metalist 1925" significantly improved their control of the ball and managed to push the opponent away from their penalty area. But more often Dynamo players attacked. Another thing is that neither side had any clear opportunities to change the scoreline in the remaining match time. The only note was Karavaev's shot from the penalty area, after which the ball flew over near the post. As a result, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
It must be recalled this match had no sports component for Dynamo: even before it the Kyivians have lost the chance to move up as well as down from the 4th position in the standings.
Here, the Ukrainian Premier League Championship 2022/23 is over, but the domestic season will close with the tie for the right to retain the place in the elite division.
The start of the next Ukrainian championship is planned for the end of July.
