Renowned Ukrainian coach Oleh Fedorchuk has criticised Shakhtar defender Yefim Konoplya for sabotaging his participation in Ukraine's match against England at Euro 2024.
"Konoplya was unconvincing for me, he was kind of twitchy. I didn't like the fact that he refused to play for the national team. I think he just floated and chickened out playing against England. He may have had his only chance to play at Wembley and he got scared. After that, he fell in my eyes," Fedorchuk said.
Recall that on the eve of the match between the Ukraine national football team and England (0:2) Efim Konoplya addressed the acting head coach of the national team with a request to exclude him from the application for this match due to health problems. But after a few days, he featured in Shakhtar's squad for the match against Rukh (2-0).
