Usually, every day our morning starts with watching the news. Previously, it was news from the political, economic, sports and other spheres of life, and lately it has been mostly about the war and the situation at the frontline. Our media people, sometimes at the cost of their own lives, tell us the truth about Russian aggression and the exploits of our defenders.
You have chosen a difficult and extremely responsible job - day in and day out, you are immersed in the whirlwind of events, the first to learn about the latest news, and promptly share it with the public.
The creative profession you have chosen is extremely important and necessary for society, because you keep abreast of events every day, despite any difficulties, cover current issues and shape public opinion.
It is impossible to imagine the modern world without information, the means of its transmission, and a professional view of the events and facts of our life. Your work is of great importance, especially now - in the time of our country's confrontation with the Russian occupiers. Unfortunately, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the occupiers have killed about 70 Ukrainian and foreign journalists. Our country has lost the best representatives of their profession who fought bravely on the information front, working in the hottest spots of our country. Some of them were killed defending Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, some - during shelling of peaceful cities, others were killed by the occupiers in the combat zone during their daily journalistic work.
We sincerely thank each and every journalist, photographer, cameraman for your vocation, conscientious work, and for serving people and Ukraine both on the front line and in the rear, despite the risks and dangers. Keep telling the truth, exposing lies and leading people into the future. I wish you all endurance, inspiration, implementation of interesting creative ideas, faith in the bright future of Ukraine, our Victory, and more reasons for good news.
