CIES has published the three most expensive footballers on the planet

Norwegian striker Erling Holland has been named the most expensive footballer according to the CIES Football Observatory.

The Manchester City forward is worth €245.1 million, according to the sports research centre, and is the only player whose estimated value exceeds €200 million.

Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior is second on the list, with an estimated value of 196.3 million euros. Arsenal's Bukayo Saka is third, with an estimated value of 195.8 million euros, according to CIES research.
