Former Ukrainian goalkeeper Oleg Morgun, known for his performances for Vorskla Poltava, has spoken about the potential of his son - 21-year-old Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Valentin Morgun, who is currently the team's third goalkeeper - after Georgiy Bushchan and Ruslan Neshchert.

- Valentin started in "Vorskla", but then we sent him to Kharkiv boarding school at "Metalist". When the option of moving to Kyiv came up, he remained there.
He is a gifted guy, as for goalkeeper, he has a lot of good qualities. But we should add to his feet game. There should be more confidence, but it will come only when he will have match practice.
He and Ruslan Nesheret trained at the same academy. They took turns playing. Then Valentin got an injury and had a surgery. As a result, the guy was out of action for half a year, even more. And Rusik (Ruslan Nesheret - ed.) moved forward.
As for my son's prospects, let him work. Patience and hard work will do it all. I say to him: "That's a goalkeeper's destiny: every day you have to work, prove that you are the best and wait for your chance. There is no other way. There is one goalkeeper and many others".
- It must be hard to be third or even fourth in Dynamo?
- Second, too. It's only easy to be the first.

- His forte is playing with the legs. You see, all the time I emphasize it. Today, teams of good level try to build their attacks, starting from the goalkeeper. This game is played through him. So, Ruslan has a good long pass. He is a calm goalkeeper, who acts reliably on the goal line.
- And what happened to Dynamo, why did the team dropped out of the fight for the title?
- It is very difficult to give an answer to this question. But it is silly to argue with critics - the team have no game. I think that the selection work at Dynamo was a failure. At least, it was not carried out at the proper level.
Of course, it is not the main reason of Dynamo failures. But among others it is for sure. I will not list the names, but, as for me, the skill level of many players does not match the status of the club. No matter who is playing now, whoever is substituted, everything is not the same.
