Andriy Yarmolenko (photo: P. Kubanov)- There is a war in Ukraine and terrible things happen every day. Can a football match give Ukrainians a little hope and positivity?
- I want to thank the German government and people for helping Ukraine. It's hard for the players, but we have to be strong because we are Ukrainians. We play football for our fans, to give them some positive emotions.
- The Ukrainian national team has never beaten Germany. What can help our team play well tomorrow? What can we oppose the opponent?
- I think we will offer them discipline and dedication. These are the factors that play a big role in football. Of course, the statistics are not in our favour, but everything happens for the first time. We'll take to the pitch, the score will be 0-0, and we'll see who is stronger. We are not afraid of anyone, we respect everyone, but we also know our strengths. The most important thing is to do what we agree on in theory, what the head coach will ask us to do. Then, I am sure, we will have a positive result, we will show a quality game.
- Andrii, what about your future? Are you considering a return to Dynamo?
- I don't know, we'll see. I still have a contract with Al Ain, I have to respect that. Now I am focused on the national team. After these matches, you will know everything.
