Former Sparta Rotterdam coach Maurice Steyn has been appointed head coach of Ajax Amsterdam, the club's press service reports.
Maurice Stein, Getty ImagesAccording to the source, Steyn's contract with Ajax runs until the summer of 2026. Stein replaced John Heyting as head coach of Ajax, who had been leading the team since February 2023.
It should be added that Ajax finished last year's campaign in third place and thus failed to qualify for the Champions League.
