Dynamo and Ukraine national team defender Oleksandr Tymchyk summed up the friendly match against Germany (3-3).
Oleksandr Tymchyk (photo: uaf.ua)- A rich game, a good result. If you had been told that score before the game, would you have said "I agree" or not?
- It is hard to say. The coaching staff set us up that the result was not the main thing. We needed to show our game, we had four days to play it out and we stuck to it. And so it happened that we scored three goals after long passes.
- In the first half, the Germans took firm control of the ball. And at some point it was a bit scary for you, but how was it inside?
- It was hard for the first 10 minutes, they put us under pressure, scored a goal and it became even more difficult, but then we regained the initiative a little, started to control the ball, scored two goals and took the lead.
- You are a humble man, but your passes twice led to the boys scoring...
- We were told by the coaching staff that they had big areas during the interceptions and we took advantage of that. The lads ran up there too and scored goals.
- You're as humble as ever. But you used your speed and we saw that you were faster than Germans.
- I don't know, faster, not faster. Everyone uses his strengths. Some are faster, some are more technical - it all depends on the style of the player.
- We won 3-1, didn`t you think at some point that it was a victory?
- No, I would not. We always play until the last minute. Until the final whistle. There was a big advantage, but we must not forget what team we played against and that in the last 20 minutes they completely seized the initiative and dominated over us.
