An unusual situation took place at yesterday's press conference in Cardiff for the Ukrainian national team coach Oleksandr Petrakov to discuss his side's match against Wales in the Euro 2024 qualifying round.
Alexander PetrakovAt one point, a local journalist asked Petrakov a question about Ukraine, but the Armenian press officer quashed the attempt to touch on the subject.
"The head coach of the Armenian national team is in front of you. If possible, do not ask him any questions about Ukraine. He is now the head coach of the Armenian national team. No questions about Ukraine," the press attaché said.
We would like to add that before that the same journalist asked Petrakov about his emotions after he returned to Cardiff, where a year ago the Ukraine national team under his guidance lost to Wales (0-1) in the final tie for qualification to the 2022 World Cup.
"I didn't want to remember the past. I do not want to remember," Petrakov said.
