Former Borussia Dortmund defender Mahmoud Daoud has joined Brighton, the Seagulls' official website reports.

The agreement between the parties runs until the summer of 2027. The German midfielder joined Brighton as a free agent.

Last season, Dowd played 10 matches for Borussia Dortmund and made one assist.
