Photo: uaf.uaSince 7 June, Ruslan Rotan's team has been working in Styria and managed to hold two sparring matches: against Kuwait (U-23) - 2:0 and Ireland (U-21) - 2:2. On Monday, the Ukrainians flew from Vienna to Bucharest, where they will play three group stage matches of the final tournament of Euro 2023 (U-21).
Our delegation will stay at the Caro Hotel. By the way, it was the residence of the national team of Ukraine during Euro 2020 in June 2021. Last night, after the theory, the blue and yellows trained at Voluntari Stadium. Today, the Ukrainian team, whose ranks have been joined by a quartet from the national team (Trubin, Sudakov, Mudryk, Vanat), will have the same theory, and at 19.30 (the time coincides with Kyiv) - a training session at the Rapid Guleshti arena. It is there that our "youth" will play two matches: On the 21st - against Croatia and on the 27th - against Spain. Another match, against Romania on the 24th, will be played at the Stiaua Stadium.
It will be recalled that 16 teams will take part in Euro 2023 (U-21), which will take place from 21 June to 8 July in Georgia and Romania. As a result of the draw, which took place on 18 October last year in Bucharest, the blue and yellows got into Group B, where they will meet Romania, Spain and Croatia. The top three teams at Euro 2023 (except France and England) will receive tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games.
