"Barcelona register Xavi as first team player

Barcelona midfielder Xavi has officially been promoted to the first team, Mundo Deportivo reports.

The management of the Catalan club managed to register a contract with the 18-year-old footballer, which runs until 2026. Starting next season, Gavi will play for the Blaugranas as the number 6.

It will be recalled that until December 2022, Xavi was considered a player of the youth team. In January, Barcelona registered a new contract, but at the end of the month, La Liga cancelled the registration due to the club's financial problems.
