"Lecce have announced on their official website that they have decided to part ways with head coach Marco Baroni after failing to reach an agreement on a new contract.
Marco Baroni, Getty ImagesThe 59-year-old specialist was offered a new one-year deal with a salary increase, but it was rejected, which led to the end of negotiations. The Italian's current contract expires on 30 June.
It will be recalled that Baroni took over Lecce back in July 2021 and returned them to Serie A in his debut season. In his second year, the Giallorossi finished 16th in Italy's elite division.
