Midfielder of the youth national team of Ukraine Artem Bondarenko shared his expectations from the team's start at Euro 2023 (U-21). It will be recalled that in the first match of the tournament, the Blue and Yellows will play today against the Croatian youth team.
Artem Bondarenko"We feel a pleasant excitement because we understand what a great tournament this is, what work we have done, how we dreamed of getting here. I want to say that we are not going to be tourists, but to show decent football and, hopefully, a decent result.
The main motivation is that we have room for improvement. Getting into the national team is also a great motivation.
What about the interest in me from Italian clubs? I think it's an additional motivation, because you know that your work is not going unnoticed. It is very nice to hear rumours of interest from such clubs. I am very happy to be working. This tournament is a good exhibition for any player," Bondarenko said at a press conference dedicated to the match against Croatia.
