Former Barcelona and Brazilian national team player Dani Alves continues to deny rape allegations.

We were in a public place, and although my friend Bruno was standing in front of us the whole time to prevent us from being photographed, I suggested that she go to the toilet. I told her I would go in first and wait for her there. It was crowded on the top floor, and I'm married, so we couldn't do it there.
I went into the toilet first. After a while, I thought she had changed her mind and would not come. A lot of time passed. I was on my way out when I saw her coming in. I stepped aside, she passed me and entered the toilet. I followed her without even closing the door. I knew Bruno was waiting outside to make sure no one came in - he knew what we were doing.
It is not true that I beat her and insulted her. She never once asked me to stop, never once pretended to want to leave. The door was open all the time, she could have left because I was sitting on the toilet almost all the time.
There is not a single mark on her body that would confirm the cruelty with which she claims I treated her in the toilet," Dani Alves said in an interview with La Vanguardia.
In January of this year, Dani Alves was detained in Spain in a rape case. The Brazilian faces 12 years in prison.
