Who will replace Lucescu as Fenerbahce manager is revealed

Turkish media have named the next coach of Istanbul's Fenerbahce, who had earlier dismissed Portugal's Jorge Jesus.

Mircea Lucescu was widely tipped for the job, but the Romanian specialist turned the Turks down, saying that no matter what he wants to finish the year of his contract with Dynamo Kyiv.

Then Istanbul club president Ali Koç stated that if not Lucescu, only a local, Turkish specialist will coach his team. That will now reportedly be Ismail Kartal, who previously worked with Fenerbahce in the 2014/2015 season (winning the Super Cup) and in the second part of the 2021/2022 season.
