Romania U-21 head coach Emil Sendoy has given his assessment of the Ukraine U-21 team, against whom his charges will play in the 2nd round of Euro 2023 on Saturday, June 24.
Emil Sendoy"We know them very well. Ukraine is a balanced team. Even when they make substitutions, they have a bench. I know that many of their national team players play for the first team [of Ukraine].
Against Germany, Georgiy Sudakov played very well, also there is Mudryk, Vanat, Bondarenko... I have been following this team and players even before we got them as opponents.
This tournament shows that this team is capable to surprise positively. We want to neutralise them and use our [strengths]," said Sendoy.
Romania U-21 vs Ukraine U-21 will be played in Bucharest on 24 June, kick-off at 19:00 Kyiv time.
