Shakhtar Donetsk president Rinat Akhmetov has finally approved Patrick van Leeuwen as the team's head coach, the TaToTake telegram channel has reported.

It should be recalled that Shakhtar's previous manager was Igor Jovicevic, who, though he led the team to gold medals in the Ukrainian league season 2022/23, was dismissed from his position.
