"Chelsea have announced on their official website the transfer of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy to Saudi Arabian side Al Ahly.
Edouard Mendy, Getty ImagesThe transfer fee for the 31-year-old footballer is £16 million. The Senegalese goalkeeper's contract with Al Ahly runs until the summer of 2026.
Last season, Mendy played 12 matches for Chelsea, in which he conceded 17 goals.
