Mourinho wants a former Shakhtar midfielder for Roma

Manchester United midfielder Fred, who is known in Ukraine for his performances for Shakhtar Donetsk, could soon move to the Italian Serie A.

Roma are showing interest in the Brazilian, and the Wolves' head coach Jose Mourinho, who previously worked with the midfielder at Old Trafford, wants Fred to join the team.

"Roma are hoping to entice Fred with the promise of consistent game practice, which the Brazilian will obviously not be able to count on at MJ, especially after the potential transfer of Mason Mount to the club.

It was previously reported that MJ were willing to sell Fred for £20 million. The Brazilian's contract with the Mancunians is valid for another year.
