On Tuesday, the day after arriving in the Austrian town of Sankt Veit an der Glahn, Dynamo Kyiv started working directly at the training camp.
The team chose Hotel die Zeit as its residence for the Austrian training camp, which has two full-size high-quality football pitches right on its premises. So this time, the Dynamo players won't even have to travel to the training ground.
Before the morning session, some of the players went to the gym to warm up before the main work. And just before the training session started, the players gathered on the pitch, where Mircea Lucescu addressed them. Mister gave the players instructions not only for training, but for the training camp and even for the season, stressing that in the new season they must improve the situation and regain the championship title.
Mister addressed the young players separately, noting that most of them have been training in the main team for several seasons, so they are not beginners, and the requirements for them should be the same as for other players.
After Mister's speech, all the players started a warm-up run around the training field. Then they started warming up, without Serhiy Buletsa - he is recovering from a muscle injury, so he was working out according to a separate programme.
With the exception of Buletsa, the first training session was attended by all the other 23 players who had arrived from Kyiv the day before, as well as Serhiy Sydorchuk, Reshat Ramadani and Andriy Yarmolenko, who joined the team at the hotel.
After the warm-up, the players performed short passing exercises, which alternated with running work. In addition, the players worked on their intensity by performing accelerations in the space limited by training racks and chips. The goalkeepers also performed special exercises under the guidance of Mikhail Mikhailov.
At the first training session, the players received differentiated workloads: those who had just started preparing for the season after the holiday did more running work. The rest of the players were also divided into two groups and at the end of the session performed exercises on different halves of the pitch - a group of attacking players worked on shots, while the defenders practised defensive actions.
This was the first training session of the Dynamo players at the Austrian training camp. But the day's programme is not over - the team's schedule includes a second training session in the evening.
