After the Euro 2023 semi-final match, Ukraine's youth team coach Ruslan Rotan said that one extra day of recovery could have played a big role in this match.

I saw how difficult it was for the guys on the football field, so I honestly give them a lot of respect - they deserved really more. But we have to accept this result as it is.
We have reached the 1/2 finals. When we gathered as a team two years ago, we could not imagine that we would play in the semi-finals. Firstly, I want to thank the parents of these guys who have raised them well - they are a great team. I've already told the boys that it was a pleasure to work with them - every minute we spent together will be in my heart forever. I would like to say a big thank you to the academies and clubs that brought these guys up. Thanks to everyone who supported us and cheered for us. We are leaving this tournament with our heads held high, but unfortunately, the boys deserved more," Rotan said.
