Bournemouth's Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarnyi, who previously played for Dynamo Kyiv, spoke about the start of preparations for the new season with his team.
"The summer was very good, I spent time at home with my family and close friends, I miss them, but it was a good summer. As for the national team of Ukraine, we won two important games and I scored my first goal, I am very happy.
Our country is very tired, but the people continue to stay together, we are united and continue to fight. It's an emotional moment for me because we had a lot of games and we wanted to make people in our country smile.
The training camp? I am happy to be here, because I am in the right place at the right time. I want to give my best to the team. The training sessions are going well. We're starting to play more one-touch football, it's a faster game, and it's good for us. We need to improve and start progressing in our game," Zabarny told the Bournemouth press office.
