"Everton are interested in signing defender Ashley Young, Sky Sports reports.

At the end of June, the 37-year-old footballer became a free agent after the end of his contract with Aston Villa. Toffees head coach Sean Dyche wants to see an experienced player in his team. Negotiations with Young are in their final stages.

Last season, Ashley played 29 Premier League games for Aston Villa and scored one goal.
