Former Shakhtar goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov explained his decision to end his playing career and switch to coaching.

- "Two years ago, I realised that time was running out and the moment of coaching would soon come. We talked to my wife and family, and I concluded that I was ready for it. Let's be honest: I've hardly played for the last two years - I played about 15 games in the past seasons. So I understood that I would become a coach, and I was psychologically ready for it.

There was no pressure on me. I got my B coaching licence, now I'm finishing my B goalkeeping licence and will take the next step - I'll start studying for my A licence. I have ambitious goals - I want to grow with the team, to bring up many great goalkeepers. I want to achieve this, I have such a passion. And we'll see what happens next," said the new Donetsk coach.
