The British media have clarified the exact reasons why Everton's Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko did not travel with his team to the first off-season training camp which kicked off yesterday in Switzerland.
According to The Bobble, the 24-year-old has a minor injury which has prevented him from starting his preparation for the season with the team. The same, according to the source, applies to Mason Holgate as well. Both will train individually at Everton's club base throughout the team's Swiss training camp, which, it should be recalled, will last five days. After that, it appears that Mikolenko will start training in the general group.
It should be added that the next English league starts on August 11. Everton will take on Fulham in the first leg.
