Former head coach of the Ukraine national team Andriy Shevchenko commented on the performance of the youth team of Ukraine at Euro-2023.

There have always been great talents in Ukraine - maybe not every year, but every few years we get a young footballer who can rise to the level of the senior squad - the first team. We need to create such a platform. What they did at this tournament gives us and the next generation hope for the future," Shevchenko said in an interview with The New York Times.
