Former head coach of Shakhtar Donetsk Igor Jovicevic, who recently took charge of Saudi Arabian Al-Raed, published on his page in the social network Instagram text about saying goodbye to Ukrainian football and Ukraine.

"Very interesting life paths and destiny, because last year no foreign coach wanted to take Shakhtar in the conditions of war. But I and my coaching staff made such a decision. And it was the best step in my career.
Working in Saudi Arabia is a very big challenge for me, because my team will have to play against world stars. And against very good coaches. I will try to realise my knowledge, qualifications and experience that I have gained in Ukraine in recent years.
I would like to thank you, Shakhtar fans and all those who support me personally. And I want you to continue supporting me - already at Al-Rayed. I think that we, together with the coaching staff, have given a lot to Shakhtar. Thank you personally to each of the club staff! Thank you for every day and second that I spent with you.
There were brilliant moments, starting with the match against RB Leipzig and ending with the match against Dynamo Kyiv - it was the first Classic that I personally won. We got past Rennes when we were given no chance to pass without Mudryk. There were other unforgettable moments that I can really be proud of.
I would also like to personally thank every Shakhtar player. I gave them everything I had. Thank you, guys. I wish the club and the new coaching staff a successful season, a good performance in the Champions League and once again win the UPL title. You are a very good team, I will be a sincere fan of it.
I left Ukraine, but Ukraine can never leave my heart. I love you. Glory to Ukraine!", - wrote in particular Jovicevych.
