Spanish side Girona are looking to strengthen their squad with Dnipro-1 and Ukraine international striker Artem Dovbyk.
Artem DovbykIt is reported that Dnipro-1 is asking for approximately €12-15 million for the transfer of the 26-year-old. The Catalan club does not have such a sum of money available. In order to get it, Girona allegedly turned to the Football City Group for financial support.
Initially, Girona hoped to sign Dovbyk at a reduced price, which they managed to do in the case of Viktor Tsygankov, who was signed for €5 million as his contract with Dynamo Kyiv was nearing completion. However, this did not work for Artem, who recently extended his contract with Dnipro-1 until 2025.
