According to Bild, the 28-year-old goalkeeper became involved in a fight with an unnamed local resident last Sunday.

As a result of the incident, the 22-year-old man suffered a broken nose. In addition, he suffered a knocked out tooth. He was sent to the hospital.

As for Gersbeck, he was first taken to the police station for questioning, after which Hertha sent the goalkeeper to Berlin ahead of schedule and is preparing an official statement on the matter.
