Chelsea centre-back Wesley Fofana has suffered a serious knee injury, the Londoners' press service reports.
Wesley Fofana, Getty ImagesDuring a medical examination, the 22-year-old footballer was diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament in his knee, which will force him to miss at least seven months. The Frenchman did not travel with the team on a pre-season tour of the United States.
Last summer, Fofana joined Chelsea from Leicester for €80 million.
