UEFA has responded to Tribuna.com 's enquiry regarding the participation of Sevastopol and Yalta's Rubin in Division B of the Russian Second League.
"We are currently assessing the situation, particularly in light of the decision taken by the UEFA Executive Committee on 4 December 2014 to ban Crimean football clubs from participating in competitions organised by the Russian Football Union (RFU) from 1 January 2015 and to consider the region a 'special zone' for football purposes until further notice.
We are in contact with both the Ukrainian and Russian Football Associations on this matter and have no other comments at this time," UEFA said.
