"Chelsea have contacted Ajax about signing attacking midfielder Mohamed Koudous and hope to take the player from Arsenal.
Mohammed Qudus, Getty ImagesAccording to The Athletic, the London club has not yet made an official offer for the 22-year-old, but has begun negotiations with the Dutch over a possible transfer. Koudous himself is close to agreeing on personal terms of his contract with Chelsea.
Last season, Kudus scored 18 goals and made seven assists for Ajax.
