UPL President Yevhen Dikiy spoke about the UPL TV project.
- How is the agreement of 12 clubs legally enshrined? Is there a risk that some of the clubs may withdraw from it during the season?
- 12 clubs of the Ukrainian championship handed over the relevant agreements to the UPL, on the basis of which the joint project UPL TV was created. Everything is legally fixed in the legal field.
- Regarding the working group to develop and analyse the model of further distribution of the joint product. Can you confirm that the deadline for the decision on the model of further distribution, which the clubs have to make, is tentatively September?
- The main reference point in this matter is the decision of the National Council, which will allow the transition to a paid model. But the decision on the potential transition or not to move to a paid model in any case will be agreed with all clubs. There is a dedicated working group for exactly this purpose.
There is also a working group that will control the quality of broadcasting, commentators, etc. That is, there is a comprehensive control over the broadcasts of matches.
And a separate working group on distribution will study all the indicators, market needs, audience volumes, etc., on the basis of which a joint decision will be made on how to proceed after obtaining all the necessary legal authorisations to move to the paid segment.
