Former Poltava Vorskla midfielder Ivan Krivosheenko commented on the first match of his former team against Georgian Dila (2:1) in the 2nd qualifying round of the Conference League, as well as assessed its prospects of reaching the next stage of the tournament.
Ivan Krivosheenko- As the last match showed, 11 players of the starting line-up of "Vorskla" are individually and as a team stronger than the players of "Dila". Victory in the first game was extremely important for the Ukrainian club. With Poltava's problems, victory for them is like a breath of fresh air. Now the guys will have more confidence.
I think that we have not yet seen the full potential of Vorskla. In the return match the Georgians will run forward, to win back, and the players of the Poltava team will have free zones. We just need to realise their chances.
However, we should not forget that in the first round "Dila" already got back at home, after a 1:2 defeat to Slovakian DAK. But for me the favourite of this confrontation is Vorskla," SportArena quoted Krivosheenko as saying.
