Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Georgiy Sudakov will miss the opening games of the new season. According to the footballer, he underwent an operation to remove the appendix.

We would like to add that Shakhtar will play their first Ukrainian league game of the season 2024/25 today - against Metalist 1925 Kharkiv.
