Viktor Leonenko, a well-known football expert and former Dynamo forward, has expressed his opinion on the possible return of defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy to Shakhtar.
- Will Chygrynskiy strengthen the current Shakhtar?
- It is difficult to answer. For Chygrynskiy, this transition is a plus, but for the team - a question. It is good that Shakhtar brought Dmytro back and thus showed that they do not forget their own. Rakitskiy, for example, looks very good, although little was expected from him. Chygrynskiy will definitely not hinder our championship, especially he is a good guy.
- Chygrynskiy at 36 will pull Shakhtar's level or is he more considered as a reserve?
- Maybe van Leeuwen is improvising. He made a team out of unnecessary players at Zorya, why shouldn't he repeat it at Shakhtar? Now in Ukraine there is such a level of football that you can play until the age of 40, so I would not be surprised if Chygrynskiy will play at the centre-back. He certainly won't spoil the porridge. I see, it's time for me and Bessonov to come back.
- Is Chygrynskiy stronger or weaker than Matviyenko, Bondar, Rakitskiy?
- Chygrynskiy is definitely stronger than Bondar. Bondar only has a younger age, and he brings very often. Most likely, Dmitriy was taken in his place. I wouldn't be surprised if Chygrynskiy displaces Bondar and he won't be in the squad at all after his recovery. Chygrynskiy plays better up top than Bondar, he also has more experience, and speed in defence is not really needed, the main thing is to read the game.
As for Rakitskiy and Matvienko, we need to see Dmytro's first matches after his return to give an opinion.
- According to TaToTake, Chygrynskiy's invitation was Srna's idea. Will it not happen that Dmytro will be signed without van Leeuwen's knowledge and it will affect the coach's attitude towards him?
- To answer this question, you need to know van Leeuwen's character. My opinion is that Shakhtar could definitely use Chygrynskiy, because it seems to me that we have run out of centre-backs.
- If not Shakhtar, what club and championship will suit Chygrynskiy?
- He can play in any non-top league - Cyprus, UAE, India, Greece. Saudi Arabia is unlikely to invite him, they invite players there for 50-100 million, but I think it's a bubble and it will burst soon, as it happened with China.
