Defender Jonny Evans is close to signing a one-year contract with Manchester United.
Johnny Evans, Getty ImagesThe 35-year-old Northern Irishman has impressed United head coach Erik Ten Hag in a matter of days, earning the opportunity to spend the pre-season with the Red Devils.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, Evans is expected to extend his stay at Manchester United, for whom he played almost 200 matches before leaving for West Bromwich Albion in 2015.
Evans is a graduate of the Manchester United academy and in his first spell at the club managed to win the Premier League three times, as well as the Champions League in 2008.
