On Friday, 4 August, Dynamo Kyiv will play its second match of the 2023/24 season. As part of the Kyiv derby, Dynamo will play Obolon FC from Kyiv.
Having had a day off on Monday after defeating Minaj in the opening round, the White and Blues began preparations for their next game on Tuesday. On that day, the team had a morning training session in the gym and on the pitch.
On Wednesday, Dynamo's schedule included an evening training session. It was preceded by a theoretical set-up that lasted almost an hour.
Meanwhile, the young participants of the Dynamo selection camp were already waiting for the players on the pitch of the Dynamo base. In the morning, these children born in 2013-2015 from different parts of Ukraine came for an excursion to the Dynamo Stadium, and in the evening they had the opportunity to attend the first team training, take pictures and get autographs from the star players. Andrii Yarmolenko, Mykola Shaparenko and Heorhii Bushchan were the ones who stayed at the training for the longest time. The latter joined the warm-up run when the team was completing the first lap.
After an intensive warm-up, the White and Blues started working with the balls. First, in traditional squares, where the players worked on both individual technique and teamwork, improving their ball skills in tight spaces.
The rest of the session also consisted of game and tactical exercises. The goalkeepers, who first performed special exercises, later joined the teamwork.
On Thursday, the team will gather at the base before lunch. Training on the field will again be preceded by a theoretical session. On this day, the players will spend the night at the club base. On the day of the match, the head coach will conduct a theoretical set-up before going to the stadium.
It will be recalled that the match of the 2nd round of the Ukrainian championship between Obolon and Dynamo will take place at the Obolon Arena on Friday. The match starts at 17:00.
