The Ukrainian Football Association has sent an official letter to UEFA asking it to consider the situation regarding the presence of representatives of the aggressor country in the bodies of the European football union.
The UAF draws attention to the fact that 15 Russians have been elected and re-elected to positions in UEFA's administrative bodies (committees, bodies and panels) for the period from 2023 to 2027. And this is at a time when brutal war crimes committed by the aggressors are taking place in Ukraine every day.
"In order to adhere to the humanitarian values and justice inherent in the European football family, as well as to ensure the consistency of UEFA's peacekeeping position on the settlement of the involvement of Russian representatives in European football, we ask you to carefully consider the situation and consider the possibility of removing representatives of the terrorist state from their duties in UEFA," the UAF letter reads.
