Last Saturday, 5 August, a Game4Ukraine charity football match in support of Ukraine was held at Chelsea's home stadium, Stamford Bridge, in London.
The aim of the match was to raise funds for the restoration of the Mykhailo-Kotsyubinsk Lyceum in Chernihiv region, which was destroyed in early March last year by Russian occupation troops.
In the match met conditional teams of Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko, in the line-ups of which on the field went out stars of world football of different generations, including current players.
In the 24th minute of the match the game was suspended in order to applaud the applause of the crowded stands to honour the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine and pay tribute to those who now continue to fight against the Russian aggressor.
The match itself, attended by 30,000 fans, ended with a score of 2-2.
